These shorts have been cut specifically to fit lifters' legs and glutes. All day comfort without riding up or gaping open at the waist. 

NOTE: You want them to fit nice and snug at first but not uncomfortably tight. They will loosen up a bit as you wear them.

  • When measuring, do not pull the measuring tape too tight. Allow it to rest flat on the body without any pulling or sagging. 
  • If your measurements don't fall within the specs, use the height and weight chart. It means the contour of your body is different than our base line but it should fit where the jeans actually rest. Feel free to email us if in doubt. 
  • You want them to fit snug at first. As with all jeans, they loosen up after wearing them for a while so you want it to be snug when you first put them on.
  • If you're in between sizes, go with the smaller size.
  • If in doubt, go with the size you normally wear without compensating for your quads.
  • Make sure to read the product descriptions. There are a few styles that are running big or small and you have to adjust accordingly. 
  • Please remember that this is internet shopping and there are too many body types for the sizing charts to work 100% of the time. It may take an exchange to get it right. We provide free shipping for the first exchange.
  • If you need additional help, email us here (contact page) with your measurements around your belly button and widest part of your hips, height and weight. We are more than glad to help.

JACKETS - we suggest going with your shirt size. 

 MEN

  • Order the normal waist size you would wear without compensating for your thighs and glutes. For example, if you would normally wear a 32 but have to buy a 33 just to fit your quads, order a 32. These jeans come with more room in the quads and rear so you don't have to size up.

Perfect hot weather shorts

These shorts are so cute and flattering!

I love Fran jeans because the cut (proportionally smaller waist and thicker thighs) fits my body better than any other brand. You might question whether the Fran cut makes a difference with short shorts… well, it does! These are actually comfortable!!

Perfect, flattering fit! Love the color!

I've purchased Fran Denim long jeans before but never jean shorts so wasn't sure how this was going to work out. I was also skeptical that I would like the fray on the ends but I wanted this darker color and high rise, so I got this pair. The fit is perfect and the cut flatters my butt and thighs. And I actually think the fray looks great. I normally order petite sizes so thought this may look a little longer than a typical 3'' inseam on me but it was still pretty short. The amount of high rise was perfect. The fabric is thinner than other things I've ordered from Fran Jeans so just an FYI it may be better to wear seamless undies or a thong under this. The first time I washed it, I accidentally missed the instructions to not dry it but it turned out okay, still. Now, I just wish Fran Denim would create another high rise fray jean short with longer inseams in this dark wash, which is such a nice color. For reference. I am 5'3'', between 120-125 lbs. and ordered a size 26.

Perfect fit!

I am 43 years old, 5’0”, and about 130 lbs, and I’ve ALWAYS struggled to find clothes that fit me, especially shorts. I decided to give these a try and I LOVE them! They fit like an absolute glove…there is no waist gap, the back pockets actually sit where they are supposed to, and they are stretchy and comfortable. My first Fran purchase was the Joy shorts in size 26 per my measurements, and they fit well but were a little too snug during certain times of the month, so I decided to go with the size 27 in these. They do get looser as the day goes on after washing, but they are super comfortable. So glad I tried this brand!
